The big do
Wow what a fantastic night last night at the concert for the Tsunami Disaster fund-raiser. A massive crowd turned up to the town hall to support the cause - what a great loving buzz in the air. Dunedin's communities are so giving and it was an honour to be part of this great night. Big thanks to Pip and her amazing crew who pulled off a tight, well run and professional show that the audience loved. Nga mihi aroha ki a koutou. Kia kaha, kia manawanui. Mauriora.Things are all go for the release of Porchlight this Friday. We are really lucky to be able to play in the Mercure, which most Dunedites will fondly remember as the old Victorian 'Wains Hotel' at 310 Princes Street. For those who don't remember the Wains you'll probably recognise the facade as one of Dunedin's lovelist with Neptune and a mermaid carved over the entrance.
We kick off at 7.30 pm, door is $10.00, there is a cash bar and we've ordered some food to nibble. We'll play a set and of course be selling copies of the new album. The Hotel needs us to finish our music by 9.30pm, so it's not a late night, but it will be a fun one and we'd love to see you there to join the celebration.
